The lazy girl’s guide to a morning skincare routine
I love a good skincare routine. If I could, I would stand there in my bathroom for an hour just doing a skincare routine. But unfortunately due to a busy schedule and lack of time, a legit skincare routine isn’t always possible. That’s why I created this lazy girl’s guide to a morning skincare routine.
If you are lazy (like me) or running out of the house to get to work on time and only have 5 minutes to take care of your skin, this morning routine is for you! If you’re quick like me it might only take you 2 minutes to do and that’s even better!
Here is my lazy girl’s guide to a morning skincare routine.
Cleanser
CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser
This facial cleanser is my holy grail. This cleanser has a cult following for a reason. It doesn’t strip your face and make it feel dry. It actually makes my skin feel even softer after I use it, thanks to the hyaluronic acid. It’s great for all skin types so it softens dry skin and keeps oily skin at bay. When I’m feeling extra lazy and don’t feel like using a makeup remover, this cleanser gets off most if not all of my makeup!
Hyaluronic acid

The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2%
Next up in my lazy girl’s guide to a morning skincare routine is my hyaluronic acid. This stuff keeps my skin insanely hydrated and super soft. After a clean my face and slightly pat my face dry but not all the way. Then I take a few drops of this stuff and and rub it into my skin while my skin is still wet. That is the key step! Hyaluronic acid needs that extra H2O to really get to work on your skin.
Vitamin C

La Roche-Posay Vitamin C Serum
Vitamin C is a must in the morning skincare routine. After the hyaluronic acid dries, put on a few drops of the vitamin C serum. I like this one from La Roche-Posay. There are tons of vitamin C serums out on the market just find what works best for you!
Moisturizer
CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion
Moisturizing is up next just slap this good stuff all over. Don’t forget your neck and chest.
Sunscreen
EltaMD UV Daily Face Sunscreen Moisturizer

La Roch-Posay Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50
If you take anything away from this article, it should be that sunscreen is the most important part of a morning skincare routine. If you skip on the serums, whatever. But DON’T skip your sunscreen! Sunscreen is so important for protecting your skin from the harmful rays of the sun. Wear it every day even if it’s cloudy!
These two sunscreens are incredible options and either will get the job done.
This may seem like a lot of steps when it comes to a lazy girl’s guide to a morning skincare routine, but trust me it is way quicker when you’re actually doing it. Even when we are being lazy or are in a hurry we have to take care of our skin!
